According to Milan News, Morten Hjulmand has become one of Milan's targets following the official appointment of Ruben Amorim as the new coach of the Rossoneri, but Atletico Madrid is also pursuing the Danish midfielder.

Milan's ability to advance Hjulmand's transfer is mainly constrained by financial factors, especially after the record transfer fee for Gonçalo Ramos. Competition is also intense, as several other clubs are interested in the player.

The most active pursuer is Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid, who turned their attention to the Dane after their pursuit of João Gomes fell through amid complications with agent Mendes and Wolves.
