In the final Group K match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Portugal drew 0-0 with Colombia, but midfielder Vitinha made history with a perfect passing performance.

Vitinha completed all 54 of his attempted passes in the match, achieving a 100% passing success rate. According to data agency Opta, he became the first player since 1966, when such statistics became available, to achieve a 100% passing success rate in a single FIFA World Cup match.
Throughout the group stage, Vitinha maintained his efficiency. Across the three matches against DR Congo, Uzbekistan, and Colombia, he completed 270 successful passes out of 280 attempts for an overall success rate of 96.4%. Despite the draw, Portugal advanced to the Round of 16 as group runners-up and will face Croatia in the knockout stage.
