Neville believes Bellingham is the only player in the England squad performing well at this FIFA World Cup, and he has called on the rest of Tuchel's players to improve in the round of 16.

When asked after the match if Bellingham was England's best player in the tournament, Neville said in an ITV interview: "Absolutely. He's the only one in the entire squad who is in form and full of energy. He moves sharply, runs actively, and plays to the expected standard.

This team has reached the semi-finals and finals of major tournaments many times in recent years and has already set a high competitive standard. Tuchel said in his post-match interview that the team would raise their game in crucial matches, and they have to do that now. I don't think he and his coaching staff will feel everything was perfect when they review the match tonight. The whole team must adjust over the next four days, Declan Rice must return to the starting lineup, and the back four must be more solid. Panama easily broke through our defense many times but lacked the ability to finish. Everyone in the team must perform better."

"This tournament has an extra knockout round, and you need to play five games to win the title. Before the tournament, people wouldn't have feared opponents like DR Congo or Senegal, but now after watching England's games, all opponents understand the strategy: if you defend deep like Ghana and Panama and counterattack when opportunities arise, you can contain England. Stronger teams won't simply sit back, but if I were Senegal or DR Congo, I would be very optimistic about creating chances with counterattacking tactics."

"I have experienced England being eliminated in the group stage and also many times when the team finished second in the group, leading to a difficult path to the quarter-finals. Although we finished first in the group this time, the sense of disappointment is unprecedented. This is because in recent years, the team has performed at a very high level in various major tournaments, and we expect better performances. We expect Rodgers and Rashford to take another step forward, and this improvement must start in the knockout stage."
