According to Bild, Union Berlin's defensive linchpin Diogo Leite (27) may make a surprising move to the Saudi Arabian league.

Al-Adalah has risen from the Saudi third-tier league to the Saudi Professional League in the past two seasons. The team's former coach was Dutchman Alfred Schreuder (53), who is currently an assistant coach to Germany's national team coach Julian Nagelsmann (38). Leite would also be playing in the same league as Al-Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays.
In addition to Al-Adalah, Leite had previously received a concrete offer from Lazio, with the Roman club once being in the lead. Now the transfer trend may be shifting towards Saudi Arabia, with Saudi clubs attracting him with high salaries. Bundesliga clubs Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund had also been linked with Leite, but according to Bild, neither club ever made a concrete offer.
The 1.90-meter-tall center-back transferred from Porto to Köpenick for 7 million euros. Leite has played for Union Berlin for the past four years, helping the team reach the Champions League. At his peak, top clubs like Paris Saint-Germain were also interested in him. Leite, along with his defensive partner Danilo Doekhi (27), has long been the core of Union Berlin's defense. Despite his mediocre form this season and a month-long absence due to injury, his potential move to Saudi Arabia remains surprising.
