According to FCinter1908, Aguero recalled a confrontation with Kolarov during a podcast appearance, recounting an incident from their time at Manchester City together.

The former Manchester City striker explained that Kolarov hit him hard during training, and he immediately fired back with insults. Aguero recalled that Kolarov then walked toward him and said, "I'm going to kill you..." Fearing the worst, Aguero deliberately stayed after training to practice shooting, hoping Kolarov would shower and leave before he finished.

Aguero revealed that Kolarov later messaged him asking if he was home. "He texted me: 'Are you home?' I thought to myself: 'This madman isn't actually coming to my house to beat me up, is he!' I was playing golf at the time, and my clubs were right by the front door. I thought: 'He might kill me, but at least I'll get one shot in... I'm going to hit him with a golf club.'"

When the doorbell rang, Aguero opened the door cautiously and asked, "Is everything okay?" Kolarov replied, "Yeah, come on, let's go get a coffee..." The two then discussed football and other matters. Kolarov told him, "What happened is in the past. Let it go. I'm sorry..." Aguero accepted the apology and assured him he was fine. He later joked, asking Kolarov if he wanted a rematch.
