Nico Paz's father, Pablo, discussed his son's decision to remain at Como in an interview with Sky Sports.

Pablo stated: "Nico really wants to continue playing for Como, which wasn't easy because Real Madrid also 100% wanted him. He wants to stay at Como and play in the Champions League."

He added: "He might return to Madrid because of the buy-back clause, but I must say I am very happy. He really cares about it here, feels deeply loved, and is very happy to stay at Como. Whether it's the environment, the team, the coach, the club's plans, or even the city, he feels completely at home at Como. He's very happy, and this is the best choice for Nico."
