At this World Cup, Ibrahimovic joined the Fox Sports World Cup commentary team, partnering with football legend Henry to comment on matches throughout the summer tournament. He made a surprising remark on the show, claiming he would be President of the United States within a month.

The two frequently joked about former US men's national team star Alexi Lalas, creating many humorous and memorable moments. Facing millions of TV viewers, Ibrahimovic fully displayed his characteristic confident and flamboyant personality.

On Saturday, when Fox broadcast a preview of Portugal's final group stage match against Colombia, Ibrahimovic was "promoted" to host duties.

Host Rebecca Lowe jokingly said when introducing the role swap: "This is completely chaotic—Zlatan just took over the host's seat."

The former Swedish international then calmly took the host's seat, joking that his advancement at the TV station was remarkably fast, and his next goal was to run for President of the United States.

"Temporary replacement? I am the legitimate host," Ibrahimovic said. When Lowe clarified she was just filling in, he immediately disagreed.

"I became employee of the month within a week of joining, became a full-time host in two weeks, and now this show is under my control."

Like any seasoned host, Ibrahimovic introduced commentators Henry, Lowe, and Lalas to participate in the discussion before gracefully concluding the segment.

"In another month, I will be the President of the United States," he said, making a startling claim.

The funny studio clip went viral on social media after being posted, garnering nearly a million views within 12 hours.

This is not the first time Ibrahimovic has joked about running for president. As early as 2018, when he played for LA Galaxy, he gave a viral interview claiming that if he had come to MLS ten years earlier, he would already be sitting in the presidential seat.

When reporters asked how he would reshape American football culture, Ibrahimovic replied: "I don't know if I have changed anything here. I just do my job. Americans should be glad I didn't come ten years earlier—otherwise, I would be the President of the United States by now."
