Former Juventus defender Montero recently gave an interview to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, discussing Juventus' management, coach Spalletti, and the team's future plans.

Speaking about new management member Carnevali, Montero said: "I believe Juventus has signed a true football man. He did excellent work at Sassuolo and understands what Juventus means very well."
Regarding Spalletti's continued position at the club, Montero expressed full support: "I think he is the most suitable person. He has both the personal charisma and professional football ability needed to coach Juventus."
When discussing Juventus' goals for the new season, Montero emphasized that a giant club like Juventus should never settle for fourth place. "If you are Juventus, AC Milan, or Inter Milan, you cannot set fourth place as your target. Juventus needs to sign 3 to 4 important players to truly compete for the highest prize—the Serie A title."
Regarding his own future, Montero stated that he keeps himself match-fit as a coach: "Although I don't have a job currently, my coaching staff and I still meet two to three times every week. We analyze World Cup matches and study what is worth learning and where we can improve. You don't wait for an opportunity to come before you start preparing; when the opportunity arrives, you must already be ready. This applies not only to football but to life as well."
