The summer transfer window officially opens today, marking Juventus' first transfer window under new CEO Giovanni Carnevali. The 65-year-old executive, who will turn 66 on November 19, spent many years at Sassuolo and became closely associated with the club.

Transfer rumors suggest Carnevali has not forgotten his past. His relationship with Sassuolo may bring the two clubs closer together, allowing Carnevali to tap into the talent pool he knows intimately from his extensive experience with the Emilia club.
Juventus has already reunited with midfielder Manuel Locatelli, who was once Sassuolo's midfield cornerstone and shone in Serie A under De Zerbi before joining the Bianconeri as their presumptive captain. Bosnian forward Jeremie Boga has also joined; he impressed in Serie A while wearing Sassuolo's black and green. The transfer faced minimal obstacles thanks to the 4.8 million euro release clause that Nice had included in his contract.
Several current and former Sassuolo players could fit Carnevali's plans at Juventus. Rumors have recently resurfaced about center-back Tarik Muharemovic, currently with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Juventus holds 50% of Sassuolo's future resale rights, effectively cutting the acquisition cost in half. Another target is Davide Frattesi, whom Carnevali greatly admired at Sassuolo. He only allowed Frattesi to leave when Inter Milan paid over 40 million euros. Whether Frattesi becomes a priority remains to be seen, but he is certainly among Carnevali's preferred "insider" signings.
