Liverpool's official countdown of the top 100 players in the club's history is underway, with Suárez ranked 15th.

Earlier this year, Liverpool Football Club invited fans, former players, journalists, and a club judging panel to vote and determine the final ranking of the "Top 100 Liverpool Players in History" through 2026.

The selection criteria were based on players' individual abilities, influence, historical significance, and achievements during their time at Liverpool.

This countdown will culminate in a special live broadcast program in early July, where the top five players and the ultimate "Greatest Player in Liverpool History" will be revealed.

Suárez: 15th in Liverpool's All-Time Greats

Years at Club: 2011–2014
Appearances: 133
Goals: 82
Honours: League Cup (2012)

Suárez's impact during his time at Liverpool was nothing short of breathtaking and rivals that of any player in the club's history.

Although the Uruguayan striker spent only three and a half years at Liverpool, he is widely regarded as one of the most talented players ever to wear the shirt.

Suárez delivered sensational performances week in and week out, combining world-class technical ability with an unrelenting desire to win.

Many teammates, including Gerrard, considered Suárez the best player they had ever played alongside.

Gerrard stated: "His talent completely mesmerized me. As long as you have Suárez in your team, you have a chance to beat any team in the world."

In January 2011, Fernando Torres departed for Chelsea, and on the same day, Suárez joined Liverpool from Ajax. For Liverpool fans, the pain of losing Torres was quickly eased by the excitement of their new number 7.

He made his debut as a substitute against Stoke City at Anfield, scoring just 16 minutes after coming on.

In his first full season, Suárez scored 17 goals, including a hat-trick against Norwich and the equalizer in the FA Cup semi-final against Everton.

During the 2011–12 season, Suárez played a crucial role as manager Kenny Dalglish led Liverpool to League Cup victory—his only trophy during his time at Anfield.

Initially criticized for squandering chances, Suárez dramatically improved over the following two seasons, scoring 30 and 31 goals respectively.

Strong, quick, and remarkably creative, Suárez could score in virtually any manner—with either foot, headers, set-pieces, or from any angle and distance.

This culminated in the 2013–14 season, when Suárez produced one of the greatest individual campaigns in football history. He won both the PFA Players' Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year awards.

Partnering with Sturridge, Suárez directly contributed to 45 goals that season, nearly delivering Liverpool the Premier League title under manager Brendan Rodgers, ultimately falling just short.

Reflecting on that period, Suárez recalled: "I think that was one of the best times of my life, that season at Liverpool. I could even shoot from 40 yards, and the ball would fly into the net! I was brimming with confidence, and the fans gave me tremendous support."

However, that proved to be his final season on Merseyside.

Throughout his Liverpool career, Suárez was persistently pursued by elite clubs worldwide. In summer 2014, an agreement was reached, and Suárez officially departed for Barcelona.
