Manchester United will not let Mason Mount go this summer as interest from AC Milan continues to grow.

Milan recently appointed former United head coach Ruben Amorim as their replacement for Max Allegri and one of his first moves as manager is reportedly to try and steal away Mount before the new season begins.

The Italian giants have already brought in Paris Saint-Germain’s Goncalo Ramos, having agreed a club-record deal and are also said to be aiming to bring in a defender as well as a midfielder such as Mount.

However, as per the Daily Mail, the Red Devils have zero interest in selling Mount despite him making just 72 appearances in three years due to a plethora of injuries.

Following Casemiro’s departure as a free agent and Manuel Ugarte’s potentially season ending injury this week, United boss Michael Carrick will not be keen on selling any midfield assets before he has brought in to fill the void.

Reports have suggested that United are being stubborn to drive up Mount’s current price which is said to be around £21.5M which for a 27 year old with England experience could be seen as low.

Mount has two years remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford, having signed from Chelsea for a £55M fee plus £5m in future add-ons in 2023.
