Marc Puigvel discussed the possibility of Alvarez leaving Atletico Madrid.

As an Atletico player, Puigvel was also asked about Alvarez's future. Alvarez had previously stated publicly that he wanted to leave the "Atletico" club, and Puigvel did not shy away from the topic. He said in an interview with TV3: "His statement is a bit strange. If he's not happy at Atletico Madrid, we'll see what happens, but I think he will leave."

"You always want a player like that to stay with the team. But if things aren't going well for him, it's not as good."

Puigvel, from Manresa, is an important member of the Atletico Madrid squad. His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the World Cup roster. In fact, he celebrated his birthday during the training camp, blowing out 23 candles in Chattanooga. At the time, he didn't have everything figured out for certain, but he also didn't make any plans in advance for this summer.

"I didn't buy anything, just in case. No one informed me in advance at the time. Like everyone else, I found out about the roster by watching social media while I was with my girlfriend in Sitges."

His transition from full-back to center-back during his development played a crucial role, and Simeone played an important part in it: "I will be grateful to him my whole life. From the moment I arrived at Atletico Madrid, he saw that I was suitable to play center-back and taught me a lot very quickly and well."

Not long ago, Deco also included him on his key watch list and highlighted him. However, this move with Barcelona never progressed.

"We talked for a summer and all through Christmas, but at that time it coincided with financial fair play and economic difficulties. Then it stopped, and we didn't continue talking."

Puigvel was born in Terrassa but is from Manresa, and both his parents were water polo players. Fortunately, he took a different path.

"They threw me in the pool, but I couldn't float. They tried, but I just wanted to play football."

"My parents taught me from a young age to live by hard work, humility, discipline, and a regular life. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today."
