According to French media outlet onzemondial, while being one of Paris Saint-Germain's attacking transfer targets this summer, Ivorian rising star Yan Diomande is embroiled in an unexpected legal dispute.

The report states that London-based Rainbow World Group issued a statement saying that its subsidiary, Rainbow Images, will file lawsuits with the High Court of Justice in London, UK, and the courts of the British Virgin Islands, seeking to confirm and enforce agreements related to Diomande's image rights and intellectual property.
Rainbow World Group emphasized that this is not a dispute over player agency or an attempt to influence Diomande's career, but a purely commercial contract dispute.
The company stated that they discovered his potential long before Diomande arrived in European football and invested significant resources in his development, including funding his training process, covering international travel expenses, assisting with administrative procedures and educational matters, and helping him secure opportunities for trials and development at European clubs such as Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Olympiacos, and Leganes.
Rainbow claims that both parties signed relevant agreements concerning image rights and intellectual property at the time, and the company hopes to share in the corresponding profits once the player achieves commercial success in the future. However, the company believes that these agreements are still legally binding but have not been fulfilled, and therefore decided to assert its rights through judicial channels.
Nevertheless, Rainbow also stated that they still support Diomande's professional development and have no intention of preventing his transfer or affecting his career. The sole purpose of this lawsuit is to enforce what they consider to be legally binding commercial agreements.
Rainbow also believes that this case not only concerns Diomande personally but also relates to the investment environment for youth football training in Africa. The company stated that only if relevant image rights and intellectual property agreements are respected will private capital be more willing to invest in the development of young African players.
As of now, Diomande and his team have received notification of the relevant legal proceedings but have not yet publicly responded to the matter.
