Liverpool has officially announced that four members of Andoni Iraola's coaching staff at AFC Bournemouth have joined the club's coaching team.

Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper will join as first-team coaches ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Pablo de la Torre has been appointed as assistant coach, and Tom Webb as first-team tactical analyst.

All four have moved to Merseyside after serving under Iraola at AFC Bournemouth from 2023 to 2026, where they helped the club achieve a sixth-place Premier League finish last season—their best-ever ranking in the division.

Former centre-back Elphick made over 400 appearances in English football for Brighton, AFC Bournemouth, and Aston Villa.

He captained AFC Bournemouth through two promotions from the lower leagues to the Premier League, which they reached for the first time in 2015.

After retiring in 2021, Elphick joined AFC Bournemouth's youth coaching setup before being promoted to the first-team staff by Gary O'Neil in 2022-23, continuing under Iraola's subsequent management.

Cooper made over 200 appearances for AFC Bournemouth and captained the club for seven seasons between 2005 and 2012.

The versatile defender retired in 2017 and returned to AFC Bournemouth in 2018 as head of the development team, later joining the first-team coaching staff under O'Neil and remaining through Iraola's tenure.

De la Torre will work with Iraola at a fourth club following collaborations at AEK Larnaca (2018-19), Rayo Vallecano (2020-23), and AFC Bournemouth (2023-26).

Webb joins after a decade working in data and performance analysis at AFC Bournemouth, having previously gained experience at Birmingham City and Leicester City.

He joined AFC Bournemouth's first-team performance analysis team in summer 2016 and was promoted to senior first-team analyst in 2024.
