Official news: Liverpool defender Luca Stephenson has joined Championship club Bolton Wanderers. The transfer fee is reportedly £700,000, and Liverpool will retain a 20% sell-on clause.

Championship club Bolton Wanderers officially announced that the club has completed the signing of Luca Stephenson from Liverpool, with the full-back signing a four-year contract with Bolton.

Stephenson, 22, also played in more advanced positions such as wing-back and midfielder earlier in his career, bringing an end to his nearly eight years at Liverpool.

According to James Pearce, The Athletic's Liverpool correspondent, Stephenson's transfer fee to Bolton is £700,000, and Liverpool has included a 20% sell-on clause.
