Valencia Football Club has reached an agreement with G. Rodríguez.

The Argentine midfielder joined Valencia in the second half of last season and has now signed a new contract to remain with the club through 2028, with an option for a one-year extension.

G. Rodríguez won the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina and has claimed the Copa América twice. He has established himself as a top-tier midfielder with extensive experience in major tournaments and the ability to play a crucial role in midfield.

In 17 appearances under head coach Carlos Corbeán, he scored 4 goals, cementing his status as a core player. He combines defensive solidity, offensive capability, and consistent performance, contributing significantly to both ends of the pitch and playing a key role in Valencia's improved form in the second half of the season.

The Argentine midfielder returns to Mestalla to begin a new chapter with Valencia. He has previously made over 400 appearances in top-tier leagues for West Ham United, Real Betis, Club América, Tijuana, River Plate, and Defensa y Justicia, while earning numerous caps for the Argentine national team.
