According to Sport, Sergio Reguilon stated at Inter Miami that he has fully integrated into the team since joining and has set his sights on competing for all titles.

How did you decide to leave Europe and go to MLS and Inter Miami?
"The main factors were the appeal of the club and the league, and the opportunity to play with Messi. Besides that, I also wanted a change of scenery. I thoroughly researched MLS, and it's a fast-growing league with very good prospects. Coming here at my age, I still have a long way to go and many important things to do in the future, so I think it was a good decision. My family and I made this decision together, and honestly, I'm very happy."
You had some injury problems at the start, what are your thoughts on that?
"I prepared very well in Spain, but due to a tackle, I injured my knee, which disrupted everything I had built up. This kind of injury requires time and patience. I wanted to come back as soon as possible to repay everyone's trust, but I made the mistake of rushing my return, which led to other injuries. I had a difficult and frustrating time then, but I've finally started anew. Now, we are in preseason training in this hot weather, and I feel very good. I hope we can have a healthy, championship-filled season."
Was the break during the FIFA World Cup like a fresh start for you?
"Yes. The US is currently in the middle of its season, and this break was a real restart, allowing us to approach the final stage of the season with renewed fighting spirit and energy. In this aspect, no one can be better than us."
What was it like meeting Messi for the first time in the locker room?
"I was indeed very nervous at first, that's true. But over time, you see his daily routine and how he treats others, and everything becomes much easier. However, I still continue to observe him in every detail, trying to absorb even a small part from him. It's truly amazing and an honor to live and train with him; he amazes all of us in every training session and every match."
Given your position on the field, do you feel the same demand as others to play at a high level alongside Messi?
"I watched a lot of Barcelona's games and a lot of Inter Miami's games to analyze the MLS situation, and how Messi and Jordi Alba cooperated. My goal is to try to provide the kind of support that Jordi Alba used to give Messi, and see how I can integrate myself. This is a process because we have never played together; we need to accumulate playing time and matches. I really hope we can play in this competition until the very end, because that would mean things are going well, and then we can start over with the club."
Did you imagine Messi could still maintain this kind of magic?
"Perhaps some people might be surprised, but for us, this is normal, just another ordinary day for Messi. It might sound exaggerated, but it's true. Anyone who watches him train daily here and watches his matches knows his level. The statistics he achieved in the FIFA World Cup are both surprising and not surprising, because he is always at an extremely high level and still has a lot of football to offer."
The city has also gone truly wild, almost like a home game.
"This is the 'Messi effect'. He has changed American football, not just Miami, but the entire United States. Yesterday, when I was walking on Ocean Drive, there were Argentine fans everywhere wearing Messi jerseys."
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
"Messi, like other teammates, has a winning mentality. We will challenge in all competitions and strive to win all titles. We know there will be a sprint phase like last year, so we will fight with all our might until the end and give it our all."
