According to Marca, Real Madrid has successively denied contact with Enzo and Olise, but there are subtle differences in the wording of the two statements.

In a summer full of transfer rumors involving Mourinho, Bernardo, Cucurella, Konate, and Dumfries, Real Madrid is also announcing "non-transfers." Friday's announcement regarding Enzo is another statement following the one about Olise two weeks ago. Real Madrid denied contact with both players, but there is a subtle difference between the two announcements.

Regarding the Argentine player, Real Madrid clearly denied any current or future contact: "Regarding recent news and claims about Real Madrid's interest in player Enzo, the club wishes to state that Real Madrid has not taken any action, directly or indirectly, to sign the player, nor does it have any intention to pursue this deal."

This is only the first paragraph of Real Madrid's official announcement, but it clearly states that the club has no intention of signing Enzo. It is well known that he is a player very much to Mourinho's liking, yet Real Madrid have definitively closed the door on this possibility.

Regarding Olise, Real Madrid issued a statement on June 20. Some lines in the announcement were relatively measured, which some interpreted as potentially leaving the door open for negotiations with Bayern: "The two clubs have always maintained a relationship built on trust and mutual respect. This relationship is reflected in multiple aspects, including a mutual agreement that if there is any potential interest in a player belonging to the other club, communication should first take place between the clubs, in line with the principle of institutional loyalty that Bayern and Real Madrid have always historically upheld."

Therefore, Real Madrid has abandoned any possibility of trying to sign Enzo in the near future; as for Olise, Real Madrid emphasized that if a deal could be pursued in the future, it must begin with club-level contact with Bayern.

In both cases, Real Madrid emphasized its strong institutional relationship with the respective clubs. This is one of the main reasons why Real Madrid issues such official statements. Another clear reason is that the club wants to avoid disappointing its own fans if these players do not ultimately join.

So far, it is clear that Real Madrid has adjusted the club's communication policy since the last election. Real Madrid wants to cut off all speculation at the source, both out of respect for the clubs involved and for its own fans. The club does not want to "disappoint" fans by failing to meet expectations created by the media, or, in Enzo's case, by the player's agent.
