This April, Griezmann announced that he would watch France's FIFA World Cup matches from the stands with his son Amaro. French team staff promptly sent him several new jerseys and invited him to choose which matches he would like to attend. The former international, who has made 137 appearances for France, has not yet given a definitive answer, but if France defeats Paraguay in the round of 16 and advances to the quarterfinals in Boston, he is likely to go and cheer on his country.

At present, this appears to be the only time he can realistically watch. Since joining Orlando City SC on June 22 (signed until 2028, with a one-year extension option), "Le Petit Prince" has been constantly busy.

His sister Maud, who manages his affairs, will also settle in the United States. She had already traveled to the US in advance to arrange his relocation and prepare for his family's arrival. Immediately upon arriving in Florida, Griezmann had no time to rest: medical examinations, club affairs, promotional photoshoots in his new number 7 jersey, and, most notably, a return to training on June 26 — the same day Norway played France (1-4) — often with two sessions a day.

However, the former Atlético Madrid player needs to adapt to a new pace of life. Madrid's mid-morning training schedule is now a thing of the past. Temperatures and humidity in Orlando are often higher than in Madrid, so training starts at 8 AM, meaning he has to leave home at 6 AM. But he does not mind the schedule, as it leaves his afternoons free—unless there is a second training session later in the day.
