Paraguay coach Gustavo, riding strong momentum, is preparing to face tournament favorite France in the FIFA World Cup round of 16.

He said at Friday's press conference: "Confidence is like a water tank. The water inside represents how much confidence I have. Beating Germany will fill your tank."

Alfaro then used a metaphor to describe the difficulty of the match against two-time world champions France. He said: "I grew up in the countryside. When there is a thunderstorm, you have to go home because there is nowhere to hide from lightning. You cannot hide behind a tree, as lightning might strike you. France is such a storm. We are facing this storm and must see how we can protect ourselves."
