Anna Lewandowska's farewell letter to Barcelona continues to draw reactions in Poland. Zbigniew Boniek, a Polish football legend and former president of the Polish Football Association, said he fully understands the feelings of the Lewandowski family and urged that the situation not be viewed simplistically.

"It's not easy to leave Barcelona's pleasant climate for windy Chicago, especially since Robert is not going there to continue his career, but to end it," Boniek said in an interview with Polish media outlet Weszło.
"He has every right to be afraid."
Anna Lewandowska explained in an open letter a few days ago that Barcelona had become her home, and that the idea of starting over caused her great unease, especially regarding her two daughters' adjustment. Boniek believes this feeling is completely understandable: "I understand Anna. Women have the right to have concerns. I hope these doubts will soon disappear," the former player said.
Boniek also specifically sent his best wishes to Robert Lewandowski, with whom he has maintained a good relationship for many years: "I have known Robert for over ten years, and I wish him all the best. I understand that this is a peaceful end to his career. He will continue to score goals and have important moments. I hope Poland also benefits from his experience."
