According to Team Talk, citing British media, there is no consensus within Liverpool regarding Van Dijk's contract extension until 2027. Milan, Fenerbahçe, and Galatasaray may all submit offers in the coming weeks.

Milan is interested, but the cost is high.

Currently, Van Dijk's move to Milan is largely still a transfer hypothesis. The British media states that this idea was proposed by Ibrahimović, and the club owners led by Cardinale did not rule it out initially. However, this deal is extremely complex. The Dutch defender's net annual salary is about 15 million euros, which is far beyond Milan's salary standards, especially after the team has shown a new investment strategy with the arrivals of Gonçalo Ramos and Mario Gila.

A large investment is still needed.

In addition to salary, Liverpool's asking price will also be an obstacle. With Salah, Robertson, and Konaté all having left as free agents, Liverpool does not intend to easily let go of their captain unless they receive a sufficiently substantial offer. Both sides seem to have paved the way for a potential separation, but before turning this hypothesis into genuine negotiations, Milan must carefully assess whether this enticing yet expensive deal is worthwhile.
