In the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Morocco made history for Africa, eliminating Spain in a penalty shootout in the Round of 16 and Portugal 1-0 in the quarterfinals, becoming the first African team to reach the FIFA World Cup semifinals.

In this FIFA World Cup, Morocco drew 1-1 with Brazil in their first match, advanced with two wins and one draw, then eliminated the Netherlands in a penalty shootout, and then eliminated Canada 2-0, entering the quarterfinals again.

Today's Morocco has become a strong team capable of competing with any top team in the world. Next, Morocco will play the winner of France and Paraguay.
