After Canada's 0-3 loss to Morocco in the FIFA World Cup round of 16, Canadian international Stephen Eustáquio spoke to FIFA.com.

"We worked incredibly hard to get to this point, and we wanted to deliver a strong performance. It felt amazing to advance from the group stage; then, beating South Africa in the round of 32 was a nationwide celebration. At halftime, we truly believed we had a chance to push into the quarterfinals, but games are often decided by small details. Even so, I'm proud of the entire team; we did well enough, and we're really looking forward to the next four-year cycle."

"We maintained a high press throughout, keeping the opponents pinned back and constantly creating threats. Our first excellent scoring chance came early, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize; in contrast, Morocco seized a half-chance from a set piece with many defenders in the box and scored, which was the turning point today."

"After conceding, the game opened up completely. We pushed forward to counter, but they exploited the gaps in our transition and scored two more goals. The final score doesn't fully reflect the flow of the game, but it's undeniable that Morocco efficiently capitalized on all their scoring opportunities."

"We have left Canadian football with a better foundation for development. People in Toronto, Vancouver, especially everyone at the fan viewing parties, witnessed this unforgettable journey, and I hope it was the same across the country. Everyone cheered, shouted, and supported the team together. Our FIFA World Cup journey ends today, but I hope people at home will continue to support the team and accompany us through the next four-year preparation cycle."
