According to a report by AS, Cafu initially believed Brazil would win the FIFA World Cup, but after Brazil's defeat by Norway and elimination, his favorite to win the championship became Colombia.

The report states that following Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente's praise for Colombia, Cafu also spoke out publicly, and Brazil is no longer his top favorite.

Cafu stated directly that Colombia is now the team he favors most. When asked by reporters who would win this FIFA World Cup, Cafu smiled and replied: "Colombia. The Colombian team is currently performing strongly on the field, but their next opponent, Switzerland, should not be underestimated."

Cafu also highly praised Muñoz. In the pre-match phase against Ghana, Cafu had specifically mentioned Muñoz, calling him one of the best full-backs in this FIFA World Cup, with a playing style very similar to his own.

Cafu said: "I greatly admire this outstanding Colombian full-back. Mexico's full-backs also performed exceptionally well, and these full-backs have a playing style very similar to mine."
