The Norwegian national team has been hit by a flu outbreak at a critical moment in their preparations for the FIFA World Cup quarter-final against England, according to The Telegraph.

Coach Solbakken confirmed that various symptoms, including coughing and hoarseness, have affected the team's large delegation (over 50 members), casting a shadow over their preparations.

The report noted that several Norwegian players have been suffering from illness; notably, forward Larsen missed the opening match, while defender Pedersen missed the round of 16 match against Brazil. Solbakken attributed this situation to factors such as frequent air travel, air-conditioned environments, and immense psychological pressure. He specifically mentioned that young defender Pedersen experienced a physical and mental breakdown after an intense match – a common occurrence in the high-pressure environment of the FIFA World Cup.

Despite these health challenges, Norwegian star Haaland remains in top form. After defeating Brazil, Solbakken gave the entire team a short rest, while he himself alleviated pressure by reviewing match footage and preparing for the upcoming tough battle.
