Ruben Amorim has revealed he is proud to have managed Manchester United as he takes over AC Milan as their new boss.

The Rossoneri have already completed the big-money signing of Goncalo Ramos in what is a record signing who lands just in time for Amorim who was announced as the club’s new manager this week.
Amorim left United in January this year, having spent 14 months at Old Trafford and now returns to management where he has huge expectations at the Italian side who have won the Serie A only twice since 2004.
As he joined the Italian giants, Amorim spoke openly about his past role and how he believes he has learnt from his past mistakes with the Red Devils which led to side replacing him with now permanent manager Michael Carrick.
“The first thing is that it’s difficult to explain the mistakes; I’d have to explain the whole context.
“I learned, and I learned a lot. I made mistakes, but I’m proud to have managed Manchester United. Now, though, that’s part of the past.
“There are many things I can do better today; I’ve gained experience. I think everyone learns from their own experiences. There are things I’d like to change and others that never change. I’m certain I’m a better coach today.”
“It’s a big challenge. After the last time (at Manchester United) I told myself to choose less demanding challenges, yet here I am, it's an even bigger challenge.”
United were in sixth place in the Premier League table when Amorim left the club and Carrick stepped in and pushed the side to finish 3rd, a feat that seemed impossible under Amorim.
