Official news: Ajax and Branco van den Boomen have reached an agreement, and both parties have agreed to terminate the midfielder's contract. His contract with Ajax was originally set to expire on June 30, 2027.

Van den Boomen returned to Ajax on a free transfer in the summer of 2023, making a total of 56 appearances for Ajax, contributing 5 goals and 2 assists. In the second half of last season, the player was loaned to Angers SCO in Ligue 1.
