Man United\'s move for Brazil and Atalanta midfielder has reportedly collapsed.

Michael Carrick’s side had agreed a £35 million deal to sign the 27-year-old from Atalanta as part of their summer midfield rebuild.

There had been reports that the deal had hit a roadblock, however, suggesting that Man United had concerns over Ederson’s fitness.

Ederson underwent medical checks following Brazil's elimination from the World Cup in the round of 16 at the hands of Erling Haaland and Norway.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the deal has completely collapsed with Atalanta now expected to welcome Ederson back into the fold.

Man United have also agreed a £50 million deal, including add-ons, to sign young Andrey Santos from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
