Former Man City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly on the shortlist to become the new Italy manager.

Italy are on the hunt for a new manager following Gennaro Gattuso’s exit having failed to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup.

Former AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini has now been appointed as The FIGC’s new technical director and has been tasked with fining the person to take the national team forward.

Argubaly the greatest manager of all time, the 55-year-old won an incredible six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, and a Champions League, among others, during his time at City.

Guardiola would demand a much higher salary than the other two, who have both previously been Italy manager.
