Brighton have completed the club-record signing of Luka Vuskovic from Spurs.

The 19-year-old defender joins in a deal worth up to £50m broke up into a guaranteed £46m plus £4m in achievable add-ons.

Spurs have put in a 20 per cent sell-on clause and matching rights as part of the deal - which means the north London club have the potential to bring the Croatia international back to the club in the future.

After spending last season at Hamburg, Vuskovic and his representatives have made clear to Spurs his desire to play regular first team football at a permanent club, not another loan.

Spurs were not able to guarantee Vuskovic first team football, having signed Marcos Senesi and Brighton's Jan Paul Van Hecke in the summer, adding to their current options of Cristian Romero, Kevin Danso and Micky van de Ven.

Vuskovic departs as Spurs' fourth-biggest sale after Harry Kane, Gareth Bale and Kyle Walker.
