On July 14, Brighton & Hove Albion officially announced the signing of Luka Vušković. The player had not previously played in any official matches for Tottenham Hotspur.

On July 14, Brighton & Hove Albion confirmed that the team had signed defender Luka Vušković from Tottenham Hotspur. The 19-year-old Croatian international signed a five-year contract with Brighton & Hove Albion, with an option to extend for one year.

16-year-old Luka Vušković was pre-signed by Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. In the 2024/25 season, he was loaned to Westerlo in the Belgian Pro League for experience, scoring 7 goals and providing 2 assists as a center-back. In 2025, Vušković officially transferred from Hajduk to Tottenham Hotspur for 11 million euros.

In the summer of 2025, Vušković participated in Tottenham Hotspur's pre-season matches, coming on as a substitute against Reading and contributing 1 goal and 1 assist. He then got playing time against Wycombe Wanderers and Newcastle but was unable to play in official matches with the team. In August, Vušković was loaned to Hamburger SV, where his brother had previously played, and performed well. Last season, he played 30 matches for Hamburger SV in all competitions, starting 29, and scoring 6 goals.

Sky Sports pointed out that the transfer of the 19-year-old defender could be worth up to £50 million in total, with £46 million as a fixed fee and an additional £4 million in achievable add-ons. As part of the deal, Tottenham Hotspur included a 20% sell-on clause and a matching right, meaning that the North London club could potentially bring the Croatian international back to the team in the future.
