According to the Daily Mail, citing Saudi media outlet Al-Riyadiyah, Ronaldo's club, Al-Nassr, is facing a financial crisis, which has led to a halt in the club's transfer activities and delays in salary payments to some players.

The report states that some first-team players at Al-Nassr received their June salaries in installments, and club management is currently working to resolve outstanding payments that are due soon. However, it is unclear how many players are affected, how much salary remains unpaid, and when the outstanding amounts will be settled.
The report indicates that Al-Nassr's current debt exceeds the club's revenue, which has caused the team's operations in this transfer window to stall, including plans to sign a foreign player to replace midfielder Brozović.
A source stated: "It's impossible for the club to undertake new contractual obligations until the current financial situation is resolved and the club demonstrates its ability to fulfill commitments."
The same source also claimed that Al-Nassr's management has not yet submitted the necessary documents to the relevant authorities to prove the club's financial capacity to sign new contracts.
This news emerged a few days after the appointment of new coach Postecoglou. Al-Nassr chose the former Tottenham manager to succeed Jorge Jesus this summer, who led the team to win the Saudi Professional League title last season.
Despite the club's significant investment since Ronaldo joined in recent years and winning the league title again last season after a seven-year hiatus, financial pressure is still evident. The report states that Ronaldo signed a new two-year contract worth approximately £492 million last summer, with one year remaining on the contract, and a daily salary of about £488,000.
Earlier this year, Ronaldo was reportedly dissatisfied with what he perceived as insufficient investment from the club. The report claims he was unhappy with the level of support Al-Nassr received from the Saudi Public Investment Fund, especially against the backdrop of continuous strengthening by Al-Hilal, which is also majority-owned by the same fund.
According to reports at the time, Ronaldo resumed playing after his main demands were met, including the payment of outstanding wages and the restoration of autonomy to the club's senior management. Sports director Simão Coutinho and CEO José Semedo, who were previously suspended by the Public Investment Fund, also regained management authority.
The Saudi Professional League responded at the time, stating that Ronaldo has been fully committed since joining Al-Nassr and has played a vital role in the club's development and ambition. The league also stated that, like any top player, Ronaldo desires victory, but no individual can dictate matters beyond their club's scope.
Postecoglou told the club in an interview this week: "Mr. Jesus did an excellent job last year, helping the team win the championship. Now the club is ready to move to the next stage, and that's why I'm here."
He said: "Every year is a new one. I've had a lot of success in my career, but at the start of every year, I have the same thought in my mind: I want this year to be the best year."
