Belgian international Mechele shared the news of his newborn daughter on social media.

It is reported that Mechele's daughter is named Celestine.

Previously, Mechele followed the Belgian national team to North America to participate in the FIFA World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Mechele started all 6 matches for Belgium and played the full game, but Belgium was eventually eliminated in the quarter-finals after a 1-2 loss to Spain.
