According to the Daily Mail, Valentina Cervantes, girlfriend of Argentina midfielder Enzo, said before the FIFA World Cup semi-final against England that the match would be "special" for them due to their family's close ties to the UK.

Enzo joined Chelsea from Benfica in January 2023 for a then-club record £106 million. He and Cervantes moved to London from Lisbon with their daughter Olivia. Their son Benjamin was later born in the UK.
In a video interview with Aire de Santa Fe, Cervantes stated that precisely because of this connection, she would not allow her children to participate in anti-English chants commonly sung by Argentine fans.
She said: "When everyone sings 'He who doesn't jump is an Englishman,' we won't let him jump along."
Cervantes added: "Olivia also says, 'That's where I live.' They are still children and say these things from a very innocent perspective."
She emphasized that she has "absolutely no animosity" towards England. Speaking about the semi-final, she said: "That's how we feel too. It's where we've lived for three years, so it's going to be a very special game. It's a country that has given us a lot, and we have family there."
