Manchester United's transfer window has sprung to life this week and it appears Michael Carrick's side aren't done yet
Manchester United have already confirmed the arrival of three summer signings. Youri Tielemans is the latest addition to Michael Carrick's squad.
With Carrick at the helm, United will contest Champions League football next season and they've already begun strengthening their squad. Andrey Santos became their first signing of the window and his £50million move from Chelsea was confirmed on Monday.
Karl Darlow has been snapped up after his contract with Leeds United expired. The signing of Tielemans from Aston Villa was also announced on Tuesday after the player's £35m release clause was activated.
United are evidently focusing on rebuilding their midfield, something they may not have had to do if they hadn't offloaded the thriving Scott McTominay to Napoli. Now, the Scotsman has been sent a telling message by his new manager in Italy, as Mirror Football takes a look at the latest transfer news out of Old Trafford.

Scott McTominay message
Ever since signing for Napoli in 2024, McTominay has become one of Serie A's finest and his team's talisman. He led Scotland to the World Cup this summer, too, but failed to help them past the group stages.

He is yet to return to Napoli following the tournament. Still, new manager Massimiliano Allegri has sent him and the rest of the players a telling message, perhaps hinting that if they don't adhere to his values, there could be issues.
"I learned from an old coach. Until I see and coach players, making judgments from outside is always very difficult. I'm taking it with me," said Allegri.
"We'll get to know each other. Values are important. McTominay and [Noa] Lang will arrive before [August 5]. It will be important to work with seriousness and professionalism and above all, to lay the groundwork for reaching March. As I always say, that's when seasons are decided, still in contention for all our objectives: Serie A, the Champions League, the Italian Cup."
Club hero's homecoming
Another former United midfielder has completed an emotional transfer, as Ander Herrera returns to his boyhood club, Real Zaragoza, after leaving Boca Juniors in Argentina.
Herrera joined United in 2014 for £29m and made nearly 200 appearances for the club across five seasons. He contributed to FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League wins before leaving in 2019 for Paris Saint-Germain.
More time with Athletic Bilbao followed before his stint in Argentina and he has now re-signed for Zaragoza on a one-year deal. He first joined the club aged 11.
Zaragoza's club website released a statement upon his arrival, which included the admission: "Ander's return is an unequivocal sign of belonging and represents the return of a Zaragoza native at a crucial moment for the club's future."
