According to Manchester United legend Ferdinand, Manchester United has reached an agreement to sign midfielder Kone from Roma for £45 million.

Ferdinand stated on his podcast: "Romano has just confirmed that Manchester United has reached an agreement for Kone, signing him for £45 million (€53 million). He's a very good player for Carrick's 4-2-3-1 formation."

According to "Corriere dello Sport," Romano has only publicly mentioned contact between Manchester United and the player's representatives, but perhaps he privately provided Ferdinand with different information.

Despite interest from Atletico Madrid, Kone seems set for the Premier League. Roma, meanwhile, could significantly improve the club's financial situation by selling him. Everything will be decided next week, as the midfielder previously asked his agent not to engage in transfer negotiations throughout the World Cup. He did the same thing two years ago when De Rossi's Roma wanted him – at that time, he was participating in the Olympics.
