With England losing 1-2 to Argentina in the FIFA World Cup semi-finals and missing out on a spot in the final, the lineup for this FIFA World Cup's third-place play-off has been confirmed.

France lost 0-2 to Spain in yesterday's earlier semi-final, and they will compete with Argentina for third place in this FIFA World Cup.

This also means France and England will meet in the FIFA World Cup for the second consecutive time; they previously faced each other in the quarter-finals of the last FIFA World Cup, where France advanced to the semi-finals after a 2-1 victory over England with goals from Tchouaméni and Giroud.
