Guirassy's release clause expired on Wednesday midnight, and Borussia Dortmund is more confident in retaining the striker.

According to information obtained by Sky Sport, several top European clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal, previously had the opportunity to sign the Guinean forward for a release clause of less than 40 million euros. However, no club activated this clause.
The situation has now changed: if any team is still interested in Guirassy, they must negotiate the transfer fee freely with Borussia Dortmund.
Fenerbahçe from Turkey also expressed interest in the striker, but according to information received by Sky Sport, Borussia Dortmund never received an official offer. Sky Sport reporter Patrick Berger stated in the latest podcast: "Guirassy himself has basically ruled out the possibility of moving to Turkey now."
Berger added: "Borussia Dortmund has been preparing with the plan that Guirassy will stay and Adeyemi might leave, as these two were originally potential sale targets for the team. Therefore, I strongly believe that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Guirassy will still play for Borussia Dortmund next season."
Guirassy transferred to Borussia Dortmund from Stuttgart in the summer of 2024 for 18 million euros and quickly became a key player for the team. To date, he has played 96 official matches for Borussia Dortmund, scoring 60 goals and providing 15 assists.
Guirassy's contract with Borussia Dortmund will last until 2028. With the release clause expired, all signs indicate that Borussia Dortmund is very likely to continue relying on this prolific striker next season.
