After Argentina advanced to the FIFA World Cup final, midfielder Mac Allister was interviewed and asked about former Liverpool manager Klopp.

When asked for his thoughts on Klopp potentially becoming Germany's national team coach, Mac Allister initially answered cautiously: "I don't know about that, and I won't comment on it. But I'm happy he's back coaching. He's someone who helped me a lot."

Klopp brought Mac Allister to Anfield from Brighton in the summer of 2023. After working together for one season, Klopp ended his nine-year tenure at Liverpool. Together, they won the League Cup.

Mac Allister continued: "So hopefully, he can bring success to Germany and the country. I wish him all the best."
