According to an exclusive report by Africafoot, Fulham is accelerating efforts to bring Godo back to the club. Previously, Chelsea and Coventry City had expressed interest in the 23-year-old Ivorian left winger. Now, Fulham has joined the race, hoping to bring the former player back to Craven Cottage.

Godo performed exceptionally well during his time at Strasbourg last season, scoring 16 goals and providing 5 assists, becoming one of the team's most threatening attacking players.

He left Fulham to join Strasbourg in September 2025 and made significant progress in Ligue 1. The report states that Godo's rapid development has caused regret at Fulham, leading the London club to actively pursue his return, hoping to strengthen their attacking line with his breakthrough ability.

To persuade Godo, Fulham is prepared to offer him a pivotal role in the team and guarantee him regular playing time in the Premier League. However, with competition from other English clubs like Chelsea, the player still needs to decide on his future.

Strasbourg currently holds the upper hand in negotiations. Godo's contract with the club runs until June 2030, and Transfermarkt values him at approximately 22 million euros, so Strasbourg will not let him go cheaply.

If Fulham wishes to complete this buy-back deal, they must meet Strasbourg's financial demands. Negotiations between the two parties are not expected to be easy, but Fulham's eagerness to finalize the deal quickly may accelerate further discussions.
