New Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner stated at his first club press conference that he is not worried about being sacked in the future, despite the team's frequent change of managers over the past year. He emphasized that both the club and the coach hope to establish a long-term partnership, and that stability and continuity are the foundations for success.

Glasner signed a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, becoming the club's fourth head coach since September last year. Before him, Nuno, Postecoglou, Sean Dyche, and Vítor Pereira all departed, with Postecoglou only coaching for 39 days and Dyche's tenure lasting only 114 days.
When asked if taking over Forest was a risk, Glasner used a marriage analogy: "No one wants a divorce. I don't know what the situation is like in England, but the divorce rate in Austria is about 50%. Ask any new couple at their wedding, and they'll say 'that won't be us,' but it still happens."
"Every club wants the same head coach to coach for ten years, and also hopes to keep the same group of players for as long as possible, but reality is not like that. Different expectations, plans, and life choices can all change how things develop."
Glasner stated that he signed a three-year contract with the club because both parties wished to establish a stable and continuous partnership.
"The owner and I both believe that stability and continuity are the foundations for success. We hope this is a new beginning. I never think about when I will be sacked when I sign a contract; I only think about what we need to do to help the club succeed."
Glasner left Crystal Palace in May this year. In the past two seasons, he led Crystal Palace to win the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa Conference League. Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis hopes he can bring his winning experience and stability to the City Ground.
Speaking about the team's future tactical system, Glasner explicitly stated that Nottingham Forest would not become "Crystal Palace B team."
"We are not here to copy Crystal Palace. What is truly important are the team's habits in attack and defense, movement patterns, and team spirit. We need to establish a common way of playing that all players can understand."
Glasner said he had not yet decided whether the team would adopt a four-at-the-back or three-at-the-back system for the new season, and the final choice would depend on the players' characteristics.
"I have already told the players that I don't know yet whether we will play with a back four or a back three. We will let the players play in the positions where they feel most comfortable, ensuring everyone is in the most suitable position for them. First, understand the players, then find the most appropriate system, but the basic principles and habits in the game will be the same as in the teams I have coached in the past."
"My strength and weakness are actually the same, which is impatience. Sometimes it's a strength, sometimes it's a weakness. Of course, I hope the new signings can already train with us, but the players we are approaching have all participated in the World Cup and are currently on vacation. I am very confident that several players will join us in Portugal."
