According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus is still working on strengthening its goalkeeper position. The team's top target remains Argentine goalkeeper E. Martinez.

It is reported that Juventus has made an offer to Aston Villa worth a total of 6.5 million euros, in a loan-to-buy deal, but Villa has taken a tough stance, demanding 12 million euros, so there are still clear differences between the two sides.

However, E. Martinez himself is very keen to join Juventus. According to reports, the Argentine goalkeeper will push Villa to let him leave and try to facilitate the transfer when he returns to the club after the World Cup.

If the deal for E. Martinez ultimately falls through, Juventus will turn to signing Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Vicario.
