The report states that the deal depends on negotiations between the two clubs. Chelsea is insisting on a permanent transfer, or at least a loan with a mandatory buy option, with a price tag of 40 million euros. Roma has currently proposed a loan with an option to buy, but Chelsea is not accepting this offer.

A similar situation has occurred before. Under the leadership of sporting director D'Amico, Roma's management previously proposed a plan of a 5 million euro loan with a 35 million euro buy option, along with a clause to convert it into a mandatory buy option under specific conditions. However, this offer clearly did not impress Chelsea, who reiterated their asking price for the Argentine star in recent hours.
