In the round of 16 against Portugal, in the 56th minute, Portugal's Nuno Mendes was injured while tracking Yamal and was replaced by Semedo. Spain ultimately won 1-0 against Portugal.

In the quarter-finals against Belgium, in the 71st minute, Belgium goalkeeper Courtois was injured after continuous saves and could not continue the match. He was replaced by Lammens, and it was Lammens' fumble that led to Merino's winning goal, giving Spain a 2-1 victory and advancing them to the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals against France, after only 30 minutes, France's defensive core Saliba suddenly fell while dribbling and could not continue, being replaced by Lacroix. Spain eventually eliminated France 2-0.

In the final against Argentina, in the 44th minute, Argentina's starting center-back Lisandro Martinez also left the field due to injury!
