In the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, Argentina midfielder Enzo was sent off with two yellow cards late in regular time, becoming the sixth player in FIFA World Cup final history to receive a red card, and the first player to be sent off in a final since 2010.

Before Enzo, five players had been sent off in the final: Pedro Monzón (Argentina) and Gustavo Dezotti (Argentina) in Argentina's match against West Germany in 1990, Marcel Desailly in France's match against Brazil in 1998, Zidane in France's match against Italy in 2006, and Johnny Heitinga in the Netherlands' match against Spain in 2010.

Is not only Enzo, that Paredes should also have been sent off before the game ends but the ref was protecting them. If you watch this games played, they get away with offenses that deserve cards. Even in the semis see the tackle by Enzo on Bellingham but not even a fawl was awarded.
