The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has issued an open letter thanking fans for their unwavering support during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and revealing that some members of the delegation will return to Argentina on the 21st, local time.

Full text of the open letter:

The Argentine Football Association, on behalf of the players, coaching staff, management, and all staff, extends its deepest gratitude to every Argentine who supported the team during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In every stadium, in every city, and from every corner of the country, the fans' cheers became the constant driving force that helped the team reach the final once again. The love, flags, messages, convoys, hugs, and unconditional support received along the way once again proved that the Argentine team belongs to all Argentines. Every player felt this support on the field, and every member of the delegation was proud to represent a nation that never stopped believing in and supporting them.

The final result did not fulfill the dream of defending the title, but this connection transcends any win or loss. After the final, some players will travel directly from the United States to their respective destinations, either returning to their clubs or starting their vacations. Meanwhile, some members of the delegation, consisting of players, coaching staff, and staff, will return to Argentina tomorrow, with an estimated arrival time of around 5 PM. Thank you for always being with us, whether in moments of joy or difficulty. Because this jersey is defended by all of us, and the pride of representing Argentina will continue to be the motivation to face future challenges.
