According to official Liverpool news, Alejandro Rosalen has been appointed as Liverpool's new first-team goalkeeping coach.

The 49-year-old Spaniard joins Iraola's coaching staff, replacing Xavi Valero, who has left the Reds after his second spell at the club concluded in the 2025-26 season.

Rosalen brings a wealth of goalkeeping coaching experience to Merseyside. He previously worked at Serie A club Napoli from 2021 until this summer, during which time he helped Napoli win the Serie A title twice (in the 2022-23 and 2024-25 seasons).

Prior to that, he spent eight years at Fiorentina in Italy, and before that, he coached for one season at Hungarian club Videoton.

Rosalen's coaching career began in the Valencia academy, where he spent eight years.
