Official sources confirm that Belgium national team head coach Rudi Garcia will leave his post this summer upon contract expiry, after Belgium were knocked out at the quarter-final stage of this World Cup.

Rudi Garcia and the Royal Belgian Football Association have agreed not to renew his contract, which was set to expire on July 31, 2026. Garcia officially took office on February 1, 2025, replacing Domenico Tedesco.

Under his leadership, the Red Devils secured their spot in the UEFA Nations League Division A and qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. At the World Cup, Belgium were eliminated in the quarter-finals by eventual champions Spain.
