According to the Spanish Football Federation, the Spanish team's celebrations after winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup will start approximately an hour later than planned. Due to the team's delayed arrival in Madrid, thousands of fans are waiting to greet the new world champions.

The flight carrying the Spanish team landed at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport around 2:30 PM, later than the scheduled 12:50 PM. Upon arrival, the team members will first have lunch before continuing with their official schedule.

A delegation led by Spanish Football Federation President Rafael Luzán, national team coach Luis de la Fuente, and captain Rodrigo Hernández will head to Zarzuela Palace around 5:30 PM for a royal reception.

After the event at Zarzuela Palace, the Spanish team will go to Moncloa Palace to meet with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Sánchez, along with members of the royal family, watched Spain's 1-0 victory over Argentina in the FIFA World Cup final from the stands of MetLife Stadium in New Jersey this Sunday, with Ferran Torres scoring the winning goal in extra time.

After the official receptions, the Spanish team will parade through the streets of Madrid in an open-top bus, accompanied by thousands of fans. The parade will begin at 7:00 PM, starting from Moncloa Palace, passing through Princesa, Alberto Aguilera, Carranza, Sagasta, Génova, Goya, Serrano, Plaza de la Independencia, Puerta de Alcalá, and Alfonso XII Avenue, finally ending at Montalbán Street, next to Cibeles Palace.

Subsequently, the main ceremony of the celebration will be held there, where the players will officially meet the fans, and there will be several musical performances.
